Description:Locally common tree ca. 4-8 m. tall; glaucous foliage; pale green erect cones on upper branches. 
Habitat:Rocky exposed ridge; humus; slopes and level areas around parking area on basaltic bedrock; open; well drained; among Abies procera, Penstemon cardwellii.
