Description:Flowers rose-purple (magenta), foliage very spiny, silvery-grey, soft-hairy, brittle; lowes leaves 0.5-0.7 m long; biennial 2-2.5 m tall. 
Habitat:Dark alkaline; in backyard plantings.
Notes:CULTIVATED. Originally from W. Stan Tyson.
