Description:Uncommon annual herb to ca 10 cm tall; leaves alternate, linear; pedicel twice as long as the calyx, densely glandular pubescent; flowers 2-lipped, purplish-whitish, base spurred, shorter than calyx; fruit indehiscent, one-seeded. 
Habitat:In the open on a sandy trail along a scrub - flatwoods edge; associates include Serenoa repens, Pinus elliottii, Ilex glabra, and Quercus geminata.
