Description:Erect herb in isolated grouping; leaves and flower spikes ca. 45 cm and 75 cm tall, respectively; flowers white. 
Habitat:Midslope in slope forest, with Fagus grandifolia, Ilex opaca, Magnolia grandiflora, M. macrophylla var. ashei, Quercus alba, Symplocos tinctoria, and Rhapidophyllum hystrix.
