Habitat:Growing out of small beds of Sphagnum. Scrublands with ericaceous shrubs overtopped by Pinus elliottii and Quercus laurifolia. Margins of drainway or ditch with Osmunda cinnamomea, O. regalis [var. spectabilis], and Lachnanthes. Soil very sandy.
