Description:Hearty vine, trailing and climbing a little; stem angular; leaves silvery splotched and hispid: one funnelform flower per axil maximum, orange, open in morning, favored by bumble bees, male flowers mostly on older plants; fruits creamy white oval shaped gourds with corky finger-like ridges, ca. 8 in. tall 7 in. wide. 
Notes:CULTIVATED. Cultivated by collector in Columbia.
