Description:Locally common (ca. 200 plants) shrub to 1 m tall, branches erect to preading; corolla lavender, shading to white in throat, with purple, abaxial surface of upper lip darker lavender. 
Habitat:In fire breaks and in sand pine [Pinus clausa] - xerophytic oak scrub, with some sandhill taxa; dominant associates include Pinus clausa, Quercus geminata, Q. myrtifolia, Q. chapmanii, Lyonia ferruginea, Persea humilis, Osmanthus americanus, Asimina obovata, Ilex opaca var. arenicola, and Serenoa repens; deep, well drained sand.
