Description:Locally very abundant. Forming a thick mat of vegetation. 
Habitat:With Limnobium spongia at surface of water in Salix caroliniana and Cephalanthus occidentalis dominated portion of Fraxinus, Salix, Cephalanthus, Acer and Quercus laurifolia sominated swamp forest.
